Read moreThe African Development Bank has indicated that the East Africa’s economy is racing ahead of its African peers and given a modest growth forecast for the rest of the continent.
On the issue of how the West Africa’s economy prospects looks like, the bank has indicated that backed by commodity prices, improved production and services sectors, the overall economic growth in the region is expected to hit 3.6% in 2019 ad 2020.
“The region (West Africa) could benefit immensely from many opportunities – diversification, infrastructure development, and linking production to global value chains,” said Senior Director Ebrima Faal during the launch of the Regional report in Abuja, Nigeria.
According to the bank, West Africa will see mixed growth in 2020.
