“President El-Sisi Chairs Meeting on Higher Education Facilities and Historic Cairo Development”

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi convened with top officials to discuss the enhancement of higher education facilities in Egypt. The meeting, attended by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and Minister of Higher Education Dr. Ayman Ashour, focused on the progress of new university projects nationwide.

The discussions extended to proposed plans for the development of Historic Cairo, addressing challenges arising from the increasing population density in these areas. Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, the Spokesman for the Presidency, highlighted the state’s commitment to preserving the city’s heritage while tackling the need for restoration.

President El-Sisi directed a comprehensive review of proposed visions, emphasizing the preservation of Historic Cairo’s authenticity. The goal is to provide citizens with improved access to facilities and services, increase green spaces, and integrate archaeological and tourist attractions to boost local and foreign tourism. This approach ensures a clean environment and aligns with broader plans for sustainable urban development.
