Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo confirms attendance at Mining Indaba 2022

Prime Minister Lukonde Kyenge has a long-association with the mining industry having been the General Director of the largest public mining company, Gécamines

The Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), H.E. Prime Minister Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde Kyenge, has confirmed his attendance at this year’s Investing in African Mining Indaba, taking place in Cape Town from 9 – 12 May 2022.

“He has sought to work collaboratively with mining industry executives in order to revive the sector”

Trained as an engineer, Prime Minister Lukonde Kyenge has a long-association with the mining industry having been the General Director of the largest public mining company, Gécamines.

Since his appointment in February 2021, His Excellency Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde Kyenge has committed his tenure to the fight against corruption and insecurity to improve the general living conditions of the population in DRC as well as to improve the country’s business climate. He has sought to work collaboratively with mining industry executives in order to revive the sector.

Prime Minister Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde Kyenge, head of DRC’s Government has confirmed his attendance at Mining Indaba 2022.
