From President to a Maximum Prison, Ex-Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir moved to a maximum prison

Former Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir has been moved from a guesthouse he was being detained at to Kober Maximum SecurityPrison north of the country’s capital Khartoum. During his regime, Bashir was detaining political prisoners in the same prison.

Reliable sources indicate that Bashir is held under very tight security. It is also being reported that Bashir’s brother Abdullah al-Bashir, and businessman Jamal al-Wali and other NCP figures have also been transferred to Kober.

Kober Prison was built a century ago by the British and became the premier torture house under Bashir.
