Elderly women falls in well

Senegal: An elderly lady fatally fell in a well in the village of Ngeuttou Malick (commune of Katiot) located 9 kilometers from Kaffrine. The accident took place on the night of Monday, July 22.

It was around 00h15 that the family members of the victim who were doing the vigil heard the sound of the fatal fall.

Having difficulty picking her up at night because of the depth of the well that was about 75 meters deep, the firefighters who were on the scene could not get the body out until the next day.

Binta Mbengue, age 52 was married with 5 children and was suffering from dementia and high blood pressure.
