The accolade recognizes the foundation’s exceptional contributions to uplifting communities through education, health, and empowerment initiatives across the region.

The award was presented on October 17, 2025, during the annual East Africa Brand Quality Awards ceremony, which celebrates organizations championing excellence in innovation, customer service, and social impact. Born and raised in Uganda, Feni Benard began his journey as an audio producer and sound engineer before rising to prominence as a gospel singer and visionary entrepreneur. His deep-rooted passion for creativity and service led him to establish Mungu Feni Records, East Africa’s first comprehensive audio and visual production centre. The studio has played a vital role in shaping the region’s music industry, nurturing talents such as Radio and Weasel, Vinka, Chameleone, Bebe Cool, and Vivian Tendo.

Guided by his personal mantra, “God First,” Feni has used his platform to merge faith, art, and philanthropy. Through the Mungu Feni Foundation, he has extended his influence beyond music to touch lives in underserved communities, particularly in Uganda’s West Nile region. The foundation’s programs focus on education, youth empowerment, health, and sustainable livelihoods.

Currently, the foundation supports over 100 students through a comprehensive education program that covers tuition, provides scholastic materials, and offers vocational training in fields such as fashion and design. Its growing reputation has seen it win multiple accolades, including Best NGO of the Year (2023) and a dual victory in 2024 as Best Social Impact NGO and Best Community Development NGO at the West Nile Quality Brand Awards (WNQBA).
