The cup for boateng

It was difficult to consider something else than a victory from Bayern last night in Berlin. After barely twenty-five minutes, Munich confirmed this statement (2-0). And the teammates of Jerome Boateng finally obtained one more trophy, the German Cup, after the German league, by beating Bayer Leverkusen 4-2 in this final, in the stadium that hosted the final of the world cup 2006 France-Italy, a bad recollection for the Frenchies. This time, the French players (Lucas Hernandez, Mickaël Cuisance, Kingsley Coman, Benjamin Pavard, Corentin Tolisso) were wearing a red jersey and had some fun in the end of the game.

In a game that was generally dominated by Munich, the decision came early with a free kick from Austrian defender David Alaba, followed by a goal from Serge Gnabry, Ivorian roots, for a comfortable lead 2-0 at halftime. Leverkusen was too harmless to hope for anything in this first half, could not even have opportunities, and Jerome Boateng was spending a peaceful evening as a central defender. Things would be a little different in the return from the locker room.

Surprisingly, the third goal scored by Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, his fiftieth this season, woke up their opponent (3-0). After a great save from Boateng, the teammates of former PSG player Moussa Diaby scored on the action that followed (1-3) thanks to Sven Bender. Compelled to leave the pitch after feeling injured due to his recent save, German Ghanaian defender Boateng witnessed his teammates undergo the law of Bayer, whose players had several occasions to make up their delay.

By dint of spoiling, Leverkusen got punished and took another goal by Lewandowski after a nice passing from Perisic. The penalty in the last seconds would not change anything (4-2). Two trophies grabbed on the German lands, one more in Lisbon next August?
