By Samuel Abuya

Nearly one month after cyclone Idai ripped through Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi, tropical Cyclone Kenneth is making its way to Tanzania and south African countries.  Cyclone Kenneth is expected to be stronger than Idai but might be less devastating. `

Cyclone Kenneth formed earlier this week in south Indian Ocean as what has been described as a moderate tropical storm and travelled north of Madagascar with the wind travelling at a speed of 65 kph (40mph).

According to reliable reports, Cyclone Kenneth might strength up to be equal to a category 3 hurricane with winds travelling at a speed of 195 kph (120mph).

Locals in Mtwara region in Tanzania, an area that is expected to be hit by Kenneth, are said to be moving to safer grounds following a directive from the government.
