Kolisi taken care of by Jay-Z?

By Guillaume Mahot

In late November, South African journalist Robert Marawa wrote on Twitter that Siya Kolisi had reached an agreement to work with Roc Nation Sports. The subsidiary of Roc Nation, which was funded by American rapper and entrepreneur Jay-Z in 2013, dedicates itself to sports management and looks after personalities like Kyrie Irving (NBA/Brooklyn Nets), Kevin Durant (NBA/Brooklyn Nets), Romelu Lukaku (football/Inter Milan), Jérôme Boateng (football/Bayern Munich) and Robinson Cano (baseball/Seattle Mariners).

The captain of the Springboks, who was seen in France lately to get some more awards after his successful World Cup in Japan and this title grabbed against England (32-12) in Yokohama a few weeks ago, has not confirmed this assertion yet, but if it was the case, Kolisi would then join the bunch of sportsmen and sportswomen who decided to collaborate with Roc Nation Sports.

Siya Kolisi is living an accomplished 2019 year. The Stormers player has been leading the Springboks to the Webb Ellis trophy before going on tour with his teammates and staff all across South Africa to introduce the cup to his people. Present at the Oscars Midol 2019 with Cheslin Kolbe to receive an honor trophy, Kolisi keeps being associated with the image of the young kid from the townships who eventually made it until being the first black captain of the South African rugby team, a true statement that helps a lot in those hard times for the country, although the Boks captain should not be boiled down to it either.

Being taken care of by the sports management firm run by Jay-Z, also known as Shawn Corey Carter, would mean a lot for Kolisi since Roc Nations is a thriving company where business tends to grow thanks to the work and collaboration with famous athletes like the ones we mentioned in the beginning of this article. Before joining French Top 14 next year?
