NBA Western Finals: Portland was close

The Portland Trail Blazers will surely regret this game 2 if they do not pass against Golden State in these NBA finals of West conference. Last night at halftime, they were leading 65-50 at Oracle Arena after a second quarter mastered 34-21. A 1-1 in this series would have made things harder for the champions in title, who eventually defeated the Trail Blazers 114-111 to lead 2-0 in the series.

Without Kevin Durant, the Warriors relied on the Splash Brothers to overthrow the Trail Blazers, with 24 points for Klay Thompson and 37 for Steph Curry. The game was tight until the end, the last possession being wasted by point guard Damian Lillard (23 points) due to Andre Iguodala’s defense. Stephen Curry’s brother Seth had 16 points for Portland.

What a journey for Portland in these 2018/2019 playoffs, whose squad put the Nuggets (ranking second of West conference in the regular season) in holidays a couple of days ago, after having beaten OKC in the first round. Still compelled to cope with extremely fierce contenders, the teammates of Al-Farouq Aminu are in a difficult position but they have the opportunity to make it up in Oregon with two games to play to be at 2-2 (which is not done yet).
