Nonetheless, the latter could not be the reasons why most people know the Robben Island.&nbsp;&nbsp;Its use as a political prison during the fight and struggle for South African Independence makes it to have a significant place in the South Africa history. The late Nelson Mandela served his 18 years in the Robben Island after being imprisoned for 27 years.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Serengeti National Park Tanzania is another famous historical site in Africa.\u00a0\u00a0It is known to have the largest population of lions and big cats. Included in the park are also gazelles, Zebra, Rhinos, as well as other animals that call this place home.\u00a0\u00a0Understandably, many people come here to witness the famous wildebeest migration.\u00a0\u00a0Their journey starts in the month of December in the Ngoro Ngoro area.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\n     style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\"\n     data-ad-layout=\"in-article\"\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-5506089157017573\"\n     data-ad-slot=\"1517254432\"><\/ins>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script>\n\n\n\n<p>Another amazing world heritage site is the Rock Hewn Churches of Lalibera, Ethiopia.&nbsp;&nbsp;The church is home to 11 monolithic rock-cut churches carved from red volcanic rock.&nbsp;&nbsp;King Lalibela who was in a mission to create a New Jerusalem in Ethiopia during the 12th century engineered the church construction style.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We cannot mention amazing historical sites in Africa and fail to include the Victoria Falls. This is a breathtakingly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa.com\/south-africas-unesco-world-heritage-sites\/\">scenic fall<\/a> off the Zambezi River.\u00a0\u00a0Going by the fact that Dr. David Livingstone was the first to see the Victoria Falls in his research trip to Africa, and naming after Queen Victoria, a trip to this fall will be worth your while.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These African
